Classroom materials can be funded through grants and donations. Here are some ideas of places to go to apply for grants and donations.

Small Grants Up to $2,100 are available for individual teachers or teams of teachers who want to initiate new and creative classroom projects. Collaborative Grants Up to $5,000 support teams of professionals to create and implement exciting new learning opportunities for children. Partnerships may include teams of teachers, resource experts, community representatives and parents; however, a school-based classroom teacher must lead the team and submit the application.

Teachers in public elementary, middle and high schools in San Mateo County, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View and Palo Alto are eligible to apply. Reading specialists, resource specialists and other teaching staff who work directly with students in a classroom setting are eligible.
