I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After one year industrial experience, I joined San Jose State University in Fall 2002. I'm teaching various networking courses in the Computer Engineering Department.

My areas of interest include multimedia networking, media coding and content processing, network security, wireless sensor networks, and mobile computing. Since joining San Jose State University, I have worked with several wonderful colleagues on a few industry-funded projects, applying mobile technology to improve Quality of Life (QoL) inside and outside classrooms.

I received NSF CAREER award in 2006, a five-year grant supporting my work on integrated coding and transmission for secure media streaming.
