Blackboard
Blackboard is a commercial website used in this lab to assist with student registration, announcements, quizzes, discussions etc.  Though most of the information is available on the EE124 website, it will be useful for the student to go to Blackboard to find out the current status of the lab, obtain the latest announcements,  assignments and quizzes.  Most quizzes will be "in-lab" quizzes covering your preliminary lab preparation and your understanding of the previous lab.  Some quizzes may be taken at home.

Some hints before you go to Blackboard:

Students registered in EE124LT8:

Each student in EE124LT8 was already pre-registered by the instructor.  When you get to the Blackboard Web, look for:   login and click it.

You will be asked for your login name and password.  I used the following method for login name and password: your last name and the first two letters of your first name.  For example if your name is Fred Smith, then type in smithfr for both, account and password.  If your name is a common name like nguyen, then add additional letters of your first name.  Eventually you will hit on your name.  You must realize that "blackboard" has a name account system, where all over the world each account name must be unique.  At first login, blackboard will ask you for all kinds of info.  They are pretty nosy about it and even want to know your birthdate.    For the time being I made everyone 20 years old.  You may leave it at that if you wish.  The other info should be accurate, for example your email, your place of employment and position.  If you are not employed simply type in "undergraduate" or "graduate" student.  I understand that blackboard will not bombard you with commercial email offerings as a result of this freeby.  If this is not true, then let me know and I will complain or discontinue their service.  Be sure to change your password.

Guests:

If you are not registered in EE124LT8, you still have access to blackboard using a guest account.  I signed up for the following guest account.  Account name: ee124lt  ;  password: ee124lt .   All info is already filled out for you.  So simply go ahead and explore.  Please, please don't change the password.  If you do, this access will be blocked for others.  Then I simply will remove this guest account.
