Community for Engineering Learning & Living

Attention incoming engineering students!! This community is for you!!
Members of this community will be encouraged to address all aspects of engineering life and meet fellow peers studying the same disciplines in their own living communities.
Space is limited. Apply early!
Friday, June 6, 2008, is the priority deadline.
Requirements:
- Register and remain in Engineering 8 or 10 course during your first semester (for freshman).
- Register and remain in a technical major course (e.g. circuits, C++, statics, materials, Physics, etc.) (for Transfers)
- Attend academic advising workshops and tutoring/study groups on a regular basis
- Meet with an advisor every three to four weeks for the entire academic school year
- Participate in Campus Village residential programs and CELL monthly community meetings
CELL Students benefit by:
- Participating in facilitated study groups (e.g. (i.e. Algebra/Trig, Pre-Calculus, Calculus) by trained facilitators
- Participating in workshops facilitated by industry or faculty covering the various topics in engineering (e.g. latest technology, research, job opportunities) and networking with other students and professionals who are involved in engineering (e.g. HP, Lockheed Martin, IBM, engineering societies like SWE, BASE, and SOLES)
- Learning how to enhance their overall wellbeing to correspond with a lifestyle of being an engineer (e.g. team building activities, ice breakers, time management, study skills, etc.)
