Summer research experiences for undergraduates (REUs) are opportunities for undergraduate students to engage in meaningful and exciting research projects under the mentorship of a faculty advisor. These are very good experiences for all students but particularly for those who would like to consider a Ph.D. in a technical field or the sciences. Most research experiences are funded by federal agencies and provide stipends to participating students. Oftentimes assistance with housing and travel are also included.
Please note that some of these programs may have citizenship or residency restrictions.
