Inspired by SOLES

What made you join SOLES?
When I first transferred to SJSU from Allan Hancock College (Central Coast), I knew that I needed to get involved in order to get to know San Jose State better. Being Hispanic and a Biology major, I knew that I wanted to get involved in an organization with members I can relate to culturally and academic wise. I searched for the perfect club on campus and joined on the first club meeting on my birthday.

What has been your best experience/memory since joining?
My best memory since joining is the people. The club members are really outgoing and they treated my with welcoming arms. The people in SOLES are really cool and I knew that I wanted to become part of the SOLES family. During the year, I found myself wanting to help out incoming members. I wanted to make them feel what I had felt when I first joined. I want them to get them as much involved as possible so that they can gain enough experience and knowledge once they graduate.

What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future is to become an accredited professor at a well known university (SJSU!). I want to graduate and continue my education in grad school and get my masters and credentials so that I can attain my Ph.D.

Share something interesting about you...hobbies...things only your close friends would know.
My hobbies are reading, learning to play the guitar, dancing ballet folklorico and hangining out with my friends. I also want to build my own project car. Hopefully, I can get a 1967 Chevy Camaro SS, or '68 or '69. Any sales around there?
