Name: Arturo Navarro |
Inspired by SOLES
What made you join SOLES?
I was introduced to SOLES while serving as a Tech Challenge Mentor at the Third
Street Community Center. Here I met other SOLES members who encouraged me to
join their organization. I found that SOLES provided amazing opportunities for
its members to achieve their dreams and motivate youth to do the same.
What has been your best experience/memory since joining?
My best experience with SOLES has been competing in the BOMBA Cup, a regional soccer tournament put on by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. The event allowed me to get to know many of the members better, as well as meet with chapters from around the region.

What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to graduate and pursue a career in Electromechanical Engineering in the robotics or aerospace fields, and obtain a postgraduate degree.

Share something interesting about you...hobbies...things only your
close friends would know.
In my free time I enjoy action sport such as skateboarding, skim boarding, and
snowboarding. They allow me to physically express my creativity, and satisfy my
inner adrenaline junkie.
