    Professor Morelos-Zaragoza has research interests in error correcting codes and wireless communication systems. He is the author of twenty international peer-reviewed journal papers, over eighty five international conference papers, the book The Art of Error Correcting Coding (2nd edition, John Wiley and Sons, 2006) and holds fourteen patents, in the U.S.A., Japan and Europe, on error correcting coding (ECC) and cognitive radio (CR).
    Dr. Morelos-Zaragoza is a senior member of the IEEE, an active consultant for industry in ECC and CR technologies, and (since 1995) has served as reviewer and technical program committee member in numerous international IEEE conferences and journals in Information Theory and Wireless Communication Systems.
