Mechanical Engineering Design incorporates individual's engineering ingenuity and creativity into mechanism design, synthesis and analysis of mechanisms for commercial product development. This course includes the applications of principles from subjects in statics and dynamics, kinematics, strength of materials, and failure theories for designing machine components and structures. The course also includes a hands-on group project that involves the design and fabrication of a mechanical device prototype for performing specified functionality.
