The overall purpose of the project is to initiate and prepare Fujitsu UXP supercomputers such that UXP users can participate into the global grid environment. This includes the study and evaluation of the grid concepts and computer networking, the research and development in grid communication and supporting toolkits, grid application development tools, and other grid related issues such as communication system and library, user environment, message passing libraries and interfaces, etc.
