Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Welcome to the SJSU Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering’s research webpage! We are located in the heart of Silicon Valley, well known for innovation, excellence, and entrepreneurial spirit.
During the 2006-2007 academic year the college’s faculty received close to $5 million in externally funded research. This represents the energy and enthusiasm our faculty has for lifelong learning through the process of research.
With 70+ faculty across 11 engineering disciplines, we are engaged in a wide variety of projects funded by industry and government sponsors. In addition, we have 2,000 graduate students and 3,000 undergraduate students, who are an important part of the research process. Their participation in research contributes towards preparing them to join the skilled workforce of Silicon Valley and beyond.
Our strength lies in applied research, aimed at solving today’s real-life problems. Thus, many of our faculty work in close collaboration with industry partners to find solutions to issues that affect all of us and, in the process, make this world a better place in which to live.
We invite you to learn about the ways in which you can partner with the college and its faculty to discover innovative solutions for the 21st century.
At the moment, we are in the process of updating this webpage, which will include recent faculty publications, grants, and areas of interest. In the meantime, if you would like to explore partnership possibilities with us, please feel free to contact me by email at guna.selvaduray@sjsu.edu or by phone at (408) 924-3874.
It will be my pleasure to hear from you, and I look forward to working with you!
