Open Faculty Positions
The MAE Department is currently seeking 3 candidates to fill tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor Level. Applicant for Mechanical Engineering (Components and System Design) must have an academic background and knowledge in mechanical design, in particular Components and Systems Design, Structural Analysis, CAD and FEA. There is another position for Mechanical Engineering in either the Thermal Fluid Sciences or Mechatronics. For the Thermal Fluid Sciences, the applicant must have an academic background in
thermodynamics, heat transfer, and/or fluid mechanics, with special consideration given to those in sustainable energy.
For the need in mechatronics, special consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrated practical skills in areas such as, but not limited to, mechatronic or smart product design, control system design, electromechanical system integration, and manufacturing automation. Background and training in one of the two areas is required for this position.
Applicant for Aerospace Engineering must have an academic background in astronautics, including knowledge of and experience with disciplines relating to spaceflight. Click on the above links for more details and how to apply. |
