Job Description:
The Operations Specialist is a “hands-on” position that will require you to wear many hats. You will need to be willing to learn and assume a broad set of responsibilities.
The Operations Specialist will be responsible for:
· Troubleshooting and repair of servers and workstations.
· Interfacing with manufacturer/suppliers regarding warranties issues.
· Manufacturing system integration.
· Providing support to sales and marketing with demo equipment.
· Setting up tradeshow and in-house training equipment.
· Providing general assistance to Operations Manager.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
· BS degree in technical field.
· At least 2 years of direct hands on experience in troubleshooting and repair of workstations, servers and raid storages.
· Minimum of 1 year of networking experience
· The ability to lift 60 lbs.
· The ability to multi-task
· ISO and Sox experience a plus
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications.

BRS Summer Intern Opportunity
Job Description
Develop and implement supply chain strategies and optimize the overall cost of materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with the CM to ensure a smooth transition of NPI materials to sustaining production
• Develop supply base and supply chain strategies for DD new products.
• Collaborate with Supply Base Management to identify and develop suppliers for new products.
• Initiate RFQ activity, analyze the results and make recommendations to the team that justify AVL / sourcing changes to Supply Base Mgmt team.
• Improve sourcing options and minimize material expenditure by working with engineering and procurement staff.
• Assist the NPI Program Manager in minimizing additional expenses such as premiums on materials, freight and/or tooling charges incurred on the new products.
• Communicate DD expectations to the suppliers. Conduct supplier audit / visits, certifications, and performance reviews to develop and continuously improve supply base.
• Lead efforts to improve DD supply chain initiatives, system tools, and strategies.
• Act as a mentor for the NPI Team in all areas of procurement practices.
• Optimize overall cost of materials.
• Make sourcing decisions based on overall cost and benefit including price, duty, freight, flexibility, service, performance, quality, and terms & conditions.
• Negotiate terms and conditions that protect the best interests of DD and its customers, including liability terms, special stocking arrangements, and other agreements that may be outside of standard DD terms and conditions.
• Program manager for materials readiness through the product lifecycle. Work closely with Engr to understand the release process
Job Requirements
Oracle purchasing experience is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
