Mark Anthony

Mark Anthony currently works at Hewlett-Packard as a Sr. Business Value Consultant in the Software Business division. Prior to this, Mr. Anthony worked at IBM, Cisco, and Mercury Software and earlier in his career at HP in a series of progressive roles of technologist to business strategist. Mr. Anthony began his technical career at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone where he worked in a completely Japanese environment researching the practical application of modifying semiconductor products.

Mr. Anthony holds an MBA from the University of Santa Clara, a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Engineering from Polytechnic University.

Lilly Chung

Lilly Chung is a lead Client Service Partner and leads the Semiconductor Affinity Group at Deloitte. Ms. Chung started her career in a series of technical roles at TRW and Fairchild Semiconductor. Later she joined Xerox’s Strategic Business Office as a strategist. She began her consulting career at KPMG and was subsequently recruited to Ernst & Young. Her experience expanded from business process reengineering to ERP implementation and organizational effectiveness.

Ms. Chung holds an MBA from the Harvard University, both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University.

Joe Johnson

Business Applications Manager

Joe Johnson works at Applied Materials, a $10 billion Semiconductor Equipment company, as a Business Applications Manager in Applied Global Services. His previous company, Etec Systems, was acquired by Applied Materials. Prior to Applied, Mr. Johnson worked in technical roles in a variety of semiconductor technology companies including National Semiconductor and Photronics.

Mr. Johnson holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Adam King

Adam King recently joined Novellus, a $1.7 billion-dollar company, as Director of Corporate Finance. Novellus is a leading manufacturer of products that deposit extremely thin films of insulating and conductive materials used in the manufacturing of semiconductors. Mr. King began his finance career at Intel Corporation and progressed through a series of financial management roles, his last being Controller for the California Technology and Manufacturing division.

Mr. King holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University.

Karae Lisle

Karae Lisle is the College of Engineering Business Minor Advisory Board Program Development Director. As Program Developer, Ms. Lisle facilitated input and feedback from the Advisory Board to develop the curriculum for the beta Business Minor classes: “Business Organization and Management of Tech Enterprise” and the capstone course “Business Strategy In Practice in Tech Enterprise.” Ms. Lisle runs a boutique consulting firm, Wellbourne International in Silicon Valley, advising organizations such as eBay, Microsoft, PayPal, Kodak, and a variety of emerging growth companies on their sales, business development and customer facing initiatives.

Ms. Lisle holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Management Information Systems from Florida State University.

Mary McDougal

Director of Strategic Initiatives
BMC Software

Mary McDougal works at BMC Software, a $1.6 billion-dollar company, as the Director of Strategic Initiatives. Ms. McDougal began her career as a Systems Analyst for Inland Steel, and then moved into high tech with a series of leadership roles at Data General Corporation, progressing as a strategic marketing executive. As a serial entrepreneur, Ms. McDougall grew and sold companies in manufacturing execution, supply chain optimization, and construction management prior to joining BMC and tackling the IT management challenge.

Ms. McDougal holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.

Marc McSwain

Patent Agent
Mayer Brown LLP

Marc McSwain recently joined the law firm of Mayer Brown LLP, handling patent prosecution and litigation support matters. His previous position at IBM Corporation’s Almaden Research Center also focused on patent law, as well as his tenure at the law firm of Carr & Ferrell LLP. He became a registered patent agent in 1999. Prior to his legal concentration, Mr. McSwain worked in the semiconductor device modeling and simulation area for several companies including EEsof, Inc., Hewlett-Packard, Meta-Software Inc., and Avant! Corporation.

Mr. McSwain holds an MBA in finance from Santa Clara University, a BSEE from Texas A&M University, an MSEE from Louisiana State University, and an Engineer in EE degree from the University of Southern California.

Mauricio Valencia

U.S. West and Latin America Sales Manager

Mauricio Valencia built the Latin American sales channel for the Embedded Division of the $ 1.5 billion-dollar GPS technology company Trimble Navigation. Mr. Valencia began his technical career at Hughes Aircraft Company and Sandia National Laboratories. After receiving his graduate degrees, Mr. Valencia held sales and business development leadership positions for a series of high-tech companies in Silicon Valley, including Raychem and Broadlogic Networks.

Mr. Valencia holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico.
