Application Procedures and Forms

Admission

As noted, students are accepted from a wide range of undergraduate degree backgrounds, but must have basic knowledge of statistics and research methods. An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.

Apply by February 1st for the Fall Semester to receive decision by March 15th

Apply by September 1st for the Spring Semester to receive decision by October 15th

NOTE: No applications will be accepted or reviewed at this time for students wishing to begin in the Spring 2008 semester. The next starting term for the HF/E program is Fall 2008.

Human Factors & Ergonomics Program Application Process

The University admission committee processes applications before releasing them for review by the Human Factors and Ergonomics program. The University review focuses on official documents being submitted as required and GPA in the last 60 semester units meets University minimum requirements.

1. All original official transcripts (Most colleges will mail directly) 1. Letter of intent outlining your interest and plans in attending the HF/E Graduate Program (same as Statement of Purpose on application form).
2. On-line Admission form 2. Three letters of recommendation on sender's letterhead.
3. Check or money order for $55.00

This on-line application applies to the Graduate Admissions portion of the process.

1.  Submit a completed application online by going directly to: http://www.csumentor.edu/AdmissionApp/grad_apply.asp. Or going to http://www.csumentor.edu/Support/tech_support.asp#application and selecting a printable form. The California State University Application is the same for all applicants.
2.  You will have to submit official transcripts to San Jose State University and this is explained in the graduate information.
3. 

Send check (as indicated in the application instructions) to the SJSU Admissions and Records. Credit card option is available when applying online.
