Global Technology Initiative - 1st of its kind
The College of Engineering has established a $1 million Global Technology Initiative - the first of its kind in the nation. Sponsored by business leaders, the initiative will provide students with a first-hand global perspective on technology and business developments.
GTI History
- 2007 - Dean Wei received the SJSU Award for Outstanding Contributions to International Education
- 2006 – Dean Wei speaks to the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington about education and the GTI program
- 2004 – Dean Wei wrote an article titled “Translating technology into benefits for business and consumers” for SJSU Washington Square. (PDF)
- 2003 – CSU announces the establishment of the $1 Million Global Technology Initiative
- 2003 – Dean Wei gained the support of local Asian-American industry leaders to sponsor the GTI program
