The IBM Cohort is a joint program between the SJSU Computer Engineering Department, the SJSU Davidson College of Engineering, and IBM. The program is held at IBM’s Silicon Valley Laboratories, 555 Bailey Ave., San Jose, CA 95141.

Program participants are from various IBM organizations throughout Silicon Valley including Silicon Valley Laboratories, Tivoli, Rational Software, and Global Services.

The program courses cover technologies for large scale distributed systems, software development, project management, and software quality assurance. It is a two-year program, and participants will receive a Master of Science in Software Engineering (MSSE). The first cohort finished in December 2008.
