Extended Studies Programs
An Interdisciplinary Education for Technical Management Professionals
SJSU’s Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering is keenly aware of the interest in continuing educational advancement among the engineering and technical managers and professionals in Silicon Valley. In order to meet this need, the college’s Graduate and Extended Studies (GES) office has been offering Extended Studies graduate engineering degree programs since 1996. These courses are available for those who need an accelerated program to attain their graduate degrees in specific marketable major areas. All classes are offered through weekly evening sessions and some weekend (Saturday) sessions.
Currently, there are 13 cohorts with more than 300 students enrolled at our various Extended Studies sites in Silicon Valley, including the Rose Orchard Tech Centre, Applied Materials Corporation, BAE Systems, KLA-Tencor Corporation, Lam Research Corporation and Lockheed Martin Corporation. These cohorts offer graduate degrees in MBA/MSE with emphasis on Systems Engineering, MBA/MS with emphasis on Software Engineering, MSE emphasis on Optoelectronics Systems, Systems Egnineering, and MS Computer Engineering.
