Below is a list of future projects we are considering. A
decision to pursue any of these projects will be based on sufficient interest
from students, faculty, and/or a party that would be
interested in funding the project(s). These projects have been chosen
since they contribute to the goal of enhancing sustainability, as well as
possessing qualities that align well with student educational experience.
- Construct a small biodiesel or organic waste fuel production facility.
- Research electrical motors for generative qualities in conjunction with small-scale hydro and wind applications.
- Design a low-velocity windmill.
- Develop low-power remote solar applications using the Atmel AVR microcontroller.
- Build a solar-powered automated geodesic dome greenhouse.
- Create a hand-crank device to power a PDA.
- Design a solar ammonia absorption freezer/frig/air conditioner.
