MS CMPE and MSSE Challenge Exams
Challenge exams for prerequisite courses assigned to MS Computer
Engineering and MS Software Engineering students will be held this Saturday,
August 26th. Here are the details:
Saturday, August 26, 2006
- CMPE 101 and 126: 9:00 –
12:00 noon in ENG 189 (the auditorium)
- CMPE 125, 127, 138,
1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in ENG 189 (the auditorium)
NOTE: After 9:00 a.m. for
the morning session or 1:00 pm for the afternoon session, NO students will be
allowed to enter the exam room. DO NOT BE LATE.
- Admission letter
- Official personal
identification with photo (Drivers License, Tower Card, Passport)
- Exams will be given for
CMPE 046 (take the CMPE 101 exam), 125, 126, 127, 138, 142
- The CMPE 101 exam will
last 70 minutes. A 60 minute CMPE 126 challenge exam will be given following
the CMPE 101 exam.
- All other challenge
exams will be 30 minute exams.
- Other prerequisite
classes can be challenged within the first week of classes by contacting the
instructor of the classes:
- CMPE 124: Professor
- CMPE 131: Professor Jerry Gao
- CMPE 271: Professor
- Math 042: Contact Math
- Challenge exams will be
given once per semester.
- Challenge exams cannot be taken after the course to challenged has already been taken.
- A student can take the
exam of a subject at most once.
- A student must pass
both CMPE 101 and CMPE 126 to be qualified for waiving CMPE 126.
Rules for Taking the Exams
- Any Rules violation will result in
failing the exam
- During the exam,
students are not allowed to leave the room before finishing the exam of a
pens, pencils, and erasers are allowed on the exam table.
