The CME Department offers a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering, and a BS and MS and  Materials Engineering and a Minor in Materials Science and Engineering.   Our programs will prepare you to achieve your best  in your chosen career path.

Due to the unique nature of our programs in the CSU system, our majors are open to both local and non-local students.  You do not have to be a Santa Clara county resident to apply.  Click here for more information on the admissions requirements.

Program Educational Objectives

We also have course offerings and emphases in Biotechnology.

The Department manages laboratory facilities for Biochemical Engineering processes, Materials Characterization, Microscale Process Engineering , Chemical Engineering Unit Operations, Polymer and Composite Processing, Metallography, Mechanical Testing, and Electronic and Magnetic Testing.
