Research Interests      
The application of engineering principles to biological sciences for the development of bioprocesses for chemicals and pharmaceuticals.  Specific topics of current work include the following:
  • new educational materials for biochemical engineering
  • physiological studies of bacteria leading to their improved catalytic performance in large scale reactors
  • bioprocess monitoring and control
