Board meeting minutes
from the September 8th, 2004 BACHFES meeting
Time: 7pm
Location: Coffee Society, Cupertino, California.
Attendees: 9/8/04 meeting
Abbas, Ric, Al, Virginia, Tom
- Virginia will work on newsletter, David continues as
webmaster, Al taking over as treasurer
- SFSU –
o Abbas will find out who to contact, then I will talk
to them about having a joint meeting in late Oct or early Nov,
with an HFES annual meeting recap (presentations from HFES –
Ric and Ken on FTG survey, me on one of my papers)
o then perhaps another meeting in February or so, TBD
o these to be at Adobe
o need to determine what is good night
- Virginia takes part in meetings of Ergonomics Round Table,
will spread announcements of BACHFES events there
- no plans to do anything for National Ergonomics Month this
year, but maybe in future; Abbas says things to be done for
educational outreach: 1) prepare a one-page description of what we
could talk about (relying on materials from HFES) and put this on our
website, 2) make a list of who is willing to present, and in what
geographical areas, and 3) send email letters to schools throughout
the area, offering this
- Abbas will attend the meeting of local chapter presidents at
HFES
Our next meeting is tentatively
scheduled for October or Novermber. Additional details will be provided
on the calendar as they are finalized.
