MSQA
Overall Program Description
The Master of Science in
Quality Assurance is much more than a Quality Assurance degree: it prepares graduate students for positions of greater
responsibility in industrial and business management in both commercial and
consumer sectors. In the MSQA you will learn to perform at the masters' level in the
areas of Industrial Systems Management, Quality Systems development, Six-Sigma quality, as well as ISO and TL
9000 quality system standards. The program emphasizes the acquisition of
theoretical and analytical techniques combined with management and communication
skills. The curriculum was developed based on best practices in industry; industry quality standards; the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award; and
the body of knowledge for Quality
Engineering, Reliability Engineering, and Quality Management as defined by the
American Society for Quality.

SJSU
Quality Assurance Certificate Program
The SJSU Quality Assurance Certificate is a series of
four graduate-level credit courses designed to provide students who hold a BA or
BS degree with knowledge and certification of qualification for current
industry practices and with industrial leadership in analyzing, developing, and
directing quality systems in the workplace. No formal admission to SJSU is
required to enroll in the certificate courses. Upon successful completion of all
four courses, you will be issued a Professional Quality Assurance Certificate by
the Department of Aviation & Technology, College of Engineering. All classes in the
Certificate program can be applied toward the completion of a master's degree as
long as you are admitted to classified standing prior to completion of six units
of coursework.
