Faculty will discuss the impact of engineering in a global and societal context in selected courses. (For example, ENGR 429, 430, 434, 696.)

Students are required to discuss the potential interaction between their Senior Design Project (ENGR 696) and realistic project constraints, such as economical, environmental, sustainability, and so on.

Students will be advised to take a GE course that addresses contemporary issues if possible.

1. All students must address potential interaction between their Senior project and realistic constraints in their Project Report (ENGR 696).

1. Course portfolio and assessment report.

  • Course loop
  • Curriculum loop

2. Students in ENGR 696 agree (average score of 2.0 or less) that they have attained the course performance criteria related to Outcome C.1.

2. Student course survey for ENGR 696.

3. At least 70% of the faculty agree that our graduates have achieved Outcome C.1.

3. Faculty outcome survey.

4. At least 70% of the graduating seniors agree that they have achieved Outcome C.1.

4. Student exit survey.

5. At least 70% of the alumni agree that they achieved Outcome C.1.

5. Alumni survey
