Require students to take a minimum of 45 units of upper division courses in order to graduate. 34 units are from required courses and 11 units are from elective courses.

Require students to have a minimum of 19 units of engineering design in those 45 upper division courses in order to graduate.

Require students to complete project assignments in several upper division courses.

All students are required to pass the 3 units capstone senior project course (ENGR 696/697 Engineering Design Project).

1. Students agree (with and average score of 2.0 or less) that they have attained this outcome in selected required courses (ENGR 429, 430, and 434).

1. Student course surveys.

  • Course loop
  • Curriculum loop

2. Students agree (with an average 2.0 or less) that they have attained this outcome in selected elective courses (ENGR 425, 431, 435).

2. Student course surveys.

3. In ENGR 696 and 697, students agree (with an average 2.0 or less) that they applied design skills learned from required and elective courses to their engineering design projects.

3. Student course surveys.

4. At least 70% of the faculty agree that our graduates have achieved Outcome B.1.

4. Faculty outcome survey.

5. At least 70% of the alumni agree that they achieved Outcome B.1.

5. Alumni survey.
