We Need Your Help!

Imagine a vehicle able to travel 50 miles per hour powered completely by human energy. Here at San Jose State University, we are turning this vision into a reality.

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers is hosting its annual Human-Powered Vehicle competition in April 2008. This exciting day of events gives engineering students a chance to showcase their design skills and race wheel-to-wheel in front of hundreds of people.

Because of the level of performance required, raw material costs alone run more than $3,000 per vehicle. Your contribution will enable us to utilize the aerospace-grade composites and metals required to reach our goal of 50 mph. We greatly appreciate any monetary or material support you can provide.

We are confident you will take this opportunity to show your support for our motivated team of future engineers. We look forward to proudly representing your company in this national competition. Thank you in advance for your sponsorship consideration and generous support.

Sincerely,

Jeff Gibboney President, SJSU Human-Powered Vehicle Team
