Anastasia Micheals, materials researcher and instructor in materials engineering, has more than 17 years experience working and consulting in materials science and engineering. Her areas of specialty include failure analysis of materials, materials characterization and materials processing.

In addition to teaching, Ms. Micheals manages the SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) Laboratory for the university's Materials Characterization and Metrology Center [MC]², where she directs and performs research and materials characterization.

She holds an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University. She is active in local and national professional societies, and frequently publishes and presents.

In Spring 2007, Ms. Micheals was honored with the Distinguished Faculty Award from the CME Department.
