Engineering students head to China and Taiwan for study-tour

A group of students and faculty from the Davidson College of Engineering will depart this week for China and Taiwan as part of the Global Technology Initiative, which was first established by the college in 2004, the university announced this week. Of the 23 students participating in this 8th annual spring study-tour organized by the college, 17 are from engineering and the remaining were invited to join the group, one student from each of SJSU’s six other colleges. Dean Belle Wei will accompany the students and faculty.

Established with a $1 million endowment, the GTI provides SJSU students with a unique opportunity to gain a global perspective of the world and learn firsthand about technology and business developments in the Asia Pacific region. Industry leaders, strongly committed to education, contribute financially to the initiative, making the annual study-tour possible.
