Fall Graduation Recognition Ceremony this week

This week, while most engineering students are busily wrapping up semester papers, projects and final exams and anticipating winter break, others are focused on the big day they’ve longed for since first pursuing a college education. Friday, Dec. 16, is the Davidson College of Engineering’s Fall Graduation Recognition Ceremony for engineering students who’ve completed their bachelor’s and master’s programs in August and December 2011. Last year, 648 students participated in fall graduation.

Dean Belle Wei, department chairs, faculty, staff, student, families and friends, will gather to congratulate graduating seniors at the ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. in SJSU’s Event Center.

The program will feature special guest speaker, alumnus Muhammad Raghib Hussain (’97 MS Computer Engineering). Hussain is a stellar example of an executive who achieved prominent success in Silicon Valley in various roles and now serves as chief technology officer and corporate vice president of software engineering for Cavium, the award-winning company he co-founded.

All are welcome to join in this special celebration. For RSVP and ticket information, go to the event calendar.

Congratulations to the class of 2011!
